Mango margarita recipe with fresh mango11/5/2023 The benefit to freezing the fruit on the baking sheet before putting it in a baggie is to prevent it from freezing into one large mass of mango chunks. If you have leftover frozen mango use it in a mango strawberry banana smoothie! Once the fruit freezes solid, you can place the chunks in a bag for storage. Place the mango cubes on a baking sheet and place them in the freezer. When you do chop your beautifully ripe mango, you'll want to chop them into somewhat equal-sized chunks. I wouldn't recommend using it in the recipe since the sweetness and mango flavor will be off - just an FYI! If your mango is a pale yellow when you chop it, then it's too unripe. You'll know it's ripe enough when you press the flesh and it's a little soft. The main thing to remember with fresh mango is that you want to wait to cut it until it's very, very ripe. You can use fresh mango if you don't have frozen mango. Mainly, to minimize the time of the ice and frozen mango in the blender to prevent melting as much as possible. My personal preference when making frozen drinks is to add the liquid ingredients first. It'll blend up into fine little parts and give the drink the perfect amount of kick! To get the spiciness, I finely dice the jalapeno before adding it into the blender. The texture is the consistency of a Slurpee so perfect to put a straw in and slurp or use a spoon and scoop up! I typically use 1 cup of ice per frozen margarita in recipes plus the frozen fruit. Make these fruity drinks for your next summer event! How to Make Frozen Margaritasįrozen margs are super easy to make! While I usually opt for margaritas on the rocks, frozen margs honestly take less us, making a large batch it easy with a large blender! There's nothing like a sip (or slurp) of a frozen margarita by the pool. So, I cut back on the lime juice so the mango has room to shiiiine! There's a bit more sweetener and triple sec since it complements the mango flavors well. In these mango margs, I didn't want as much zesty lime juice as I typically like in a traditional margarita. I swap the orange juice for triple sec but keep the rest of the ingredients the same - it's delish! My personal favorite margarita recipe is this spicy margarita recipe by Well Plated by Erin. When I make classic margs, I love them to not be overly sweet so that they're more limey and refreshing. Ya know what I mean? Especially in the summer. I LOVE a good classic lime margarita on the rocks, but sometimes you just want a frozen marg. Spicy Mango Margaritas Summertime Margaritas
